During this month when our nation celebrates its independence, we have the opportunity to view freedom from a metaphysical point of view.? On the day when freedom in our country was announced, it was not merely as a political system.? It was also a reflection of a profound spiritual concept.? In other words, the more inwardly free we become, the more we are able to contribute to the evolutionary progress of the planet!

The sacred presence of Spirit expresses in through and as me! New ideas flow through me!? Insights unfold within me! My relations form around the power of my loving heart! The source and substance of my supply is limitless! God is great and I am grateful!? And so it is!? Amen!

The etymology of optimism is from the Latin, optimum,?meaning that the present moment is in an optimum state.? Being optimistic ultimately means that an individual expects the best possible outcome from any situation. Spiritual fathering goes beyond its biological definition to include those who provide, protect, coach, teach, mentor, inspire through example?to name a few. Perhaps no one said it more perfectly as did Jesus in John 15:9: gAs the Father has loved me, so have I loved you.h? I invite all those in the role of fathering to contemplate his words.

Those who have a deep spiritual practice canft help counting all the contents of life as a blessing.? Sometimes a particular appearance in our body of affairs seems to contradict any semblance to being our ehighest destinyf ? at least by our personal sense of ego.? We want to push the experience away and feel for it anything but gratitude.? We want to escape our present moment experience so we go shopping, turn on the TV, call a friend ? anything to avoid the unpleasant.? Life as a teacher can sometimes be sharp, uncomfortable, awkwardly embarrassing to the egofs concept of itself.? Life is equally tender, encouraging, unconditionally loving, and exhibits a great sense of humor.

I am an indispensable being of boundless potential! Dynamic by design! New horizons of infinite possibility greet me everyday! Habits of health and wholeness support my body and my mind! The beauty of my soul is activated and expresses right now! Today I embrace the brilliance, the bounty and the joy of my life! In all things I am grateful! And so it is!? Amen!

Where do we find the courage to remain present in the face of the unknown, the unpredictable, the uncontrollable?to this thing called Life?? Courage is not the absence or denial of fear; it is facing fear and surrendering to the gifts it offers: to change when change is needed, to embrace the unknown in spite of our fears and insecurities. We can actually begin to welcome such opportunities to become better acquainted with ourselves.
